Make Your World a Better Place

Make Your World a Better Place

The Community Refrigerator Project began in 2020 as a mutual aid effort in Brooklyn, NY. Shortly after, community refrigerators supported communities across the country. Local farms, restaurants, and supermarkets donate excess food to these refrigerators. People experiencing food insecurity are free to use the fridges at no cost. AjMadison donated NYC’s 55th Community Refrigerator, affectionately named ‘The Peoples Peoples Fridge’ in Harlem, NY.

Let There be Food

Let There be Food

Our goal is to increase awareness around food insecurity and visibility of Community Refrigerator mutual aid initiatives. Contributing fully functional scratch-and-dent refrigerators will provide a sustainable solution for excess inventory, help people experiencing food insecurity, reduce food waste and emphasize the importance of sustainability.
