The homeowners inherited the townhome from the wife’s parents and wanted a kitchen that suited their lifestyle today—open, eclectic, and perfect for entertaining. Outdated and compact, the original kitchen was completely reimagined: the team reworked the layout, repositioned appliances and plumbing fixtures, and introduced a large peninsula to expand counter space and seating. The result was an award-winning design, recognized by Home & Design Magazine and the National Kitchen & Bath Association as a 2025 NKBA recipient.

To complement the eclectic, bohemian-inspired finishes—including patterned floor tile, a neutral countertop, mixed cabinet finishes, and a patchwork mosaic backsplash—the team selected appliances that balanced quality with design intention. KitchenAid dishwashers delivered functionality with intuitive layouts, Bosch offered a refrigerator with integrated handles that blended seamlessly into cabinetry, and Zephyr provided a low-profile hood with quiet yet powerful ventilation. A narrow under-counter wine cooler added a touch of luxury while preserving valuable square footage.

The clients also prioritized sustainability and efficiency, opting for an induction range that reduced cooking times while supporting their environmental values. Together, these selections elevated the design while keeping the footprint efficient—proof that even compact kitchens can achieve a polished, high-end experience when every choice is intentional.
