Daring Design

Jennifer Morris of JMorris Design is known for her bespoke approach and collaborative spirit, creating spaces that are as visually striking as they are functional. With more than a decade of partnership with AjMadison, Morris continues to rely on their expertise and inventory to bring her boldest ideas to life.

For a recent remodel in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, Morris worked alongside The Brooklyn Studio and general contractor AE Greyson to transform her clients’ kitchen. The husband spotted a vivid orange BlueStar wall oven in the AjMadison showroom, sparking a daring design journey. That single appliance became the cornerstone of a kitchen defined by fearless color, inspiring materials, and appliances that matched the family’s love of cooking and baking.

Function Meets Flair

With the BlueStar oven setting the tone, Morris relied on AjMadison’s John Pereira to introduce additional appliances from Sub-Zero, Wolf, Cove, and Prestige. Together they selected pieces that balanced performance with design: a Sub-Zero refrigerator column offered seamless preservation and ample storage, while the Wolf pro-style gas rangetop—with six dual-stacked burners—provided the cooking versatility her clients needed. To ensure the kitchen operated as beautifully as it looked, they added a panel-ready Cove dishwasher that virtually disappears into the cabinetry, and a Sub-Zero under-counter beverage center that keeps drinks perfectly chilled and easily accessible.

According to Morris, these choices not only supported the functional demands of her clients’ lifestyle, but also elevated the bold aesthetic of the space, marrying practicality with creativity.

Partnership in Practice

How have these appliances elevated your clients’ kitchen experience?
“The Sub-Zero refrigerator tower gives them the fresh food storage their busy kitchen requires, while the Wolf cooktop provides a variety of cooking options,” Morris explains. “The under-counter beverage center was the perfect solution for keeping drinks cold and accessible.”

She adds, “We even created a snack pantry with a grab-and-go fridge, keeping congestion down and making the kitchen more family-friendly.”
