Beneath the sleek surface of the Wolf 24" Induction Cooktop dwells a cooking technology of startling precision and power. With Induction Cooking, electricity flows through a coil, generating a magnetic field under the ceramic glass surface. Once an induction-compatible pan is placed on the cooktop, currents instantaneously generate heat within the pan while the rest of the cooktop remains cool. Precision temperature control is coupled with speed and efficiency - Induction cooktops are up to 40% faster than gas or traditional electric. With flexible cooking configurations, its three elements accommodate a variety of pan sizes and dish preparation. The black ceramic glass surface resists scratching, staining, impact and heat, while the illuminated white LED sliding touch controls are crisp and easy to read.
