New Jersey's Clean Energy Program recently announced enhanced incentives for residents recovering from Hurricane Sandy. If your home is located in a zip code designated as a "major" or "minor" damaged area impacted by Hurricane Sandy, you may be eligible for the $50 clothes washer rebate even though the rebate is closed to the general public as of December 31, 2012. Purchased washer 11-24-12 and noticed right away that it didn't get our clothes as clean as our old washer. The cycle times seem to be somewhat longer as well. We are a family of 6 and wash a lot of clothes. It's very hard for us to do without a washer any length of time at all. On
1-20-13 the drain pump fell off the bottom of the washer dumping all the water onto our floor. That has our laminate flooring uneven and needing replaced. We was without a washer until 2-8-13 when it finally was fixed. Used it again until 2-21-13 then it stopped working and wouldn't drain the water. The code reads a faulty water sensor this time. Was without a washer for 18 days the first time and waiting on service rep again now. We live 20 miles from town and have made several trips to the local laundry mat just to pay to wash our clothes. Asked samsung for compensation for that expense and inconvenience, and was told they don't do that. Asked for a refund and they refused that as well. Still waiting for a reply on my now damaged floor, while the washer sits there not working again. Worst appliance purchase I've ever made. Even when it is working, im not satisfied with how well it cleans our clothes.

Top load machine does not submerge all items in soapy water. swishes clothes around then spins out the water. Clothes do not wash clean - top clothes never see the soapy water. It might be a water saver, but it is piece of junk. I am throwing it out and buying a machine that I can control the water.

My husband did his research and found this Samsung Aqua-Jet top loader to be a recommended choice. We bought it and I immediately noticed that dress shirts did not come clean. If you've got a poplin or 100% cotton dress shirt or blouse with ring-around-the-collar or cuffs, it does NOT get them clean. My procedures with my old washer were to pre-treat with Shout or wash in Era. This washer has no agitator and I think that is a problem. If you've got only synthetic clothes, knits, etc., they come out fine. However, my family wears dress shirts every day and have dirty rings around the neck and cuffs--sometimes I do of white or other light-colored blouses. The ultimate test of a washing machine is, "Does it wash clean." My answer, sadly for this one is, "No, it doesn't." It also has cycles that take a lot longer than my other washer did. We bought the accompanying dryer, and the dryer is wonderful and makes charming tones. I recommend the dryer, but not this washer. Talked to Samsung and they have looked at it once and said it was operating fine. Oh, and be sure your family doesn't leave any coins in their pockets. A penny got in the bottom and made the whole washer sound like it was breaking apart.

We love this Aqua Jet washer, but 3-4 cups of water per load LEAKS from the inside the machine or near the lower drain assembly during spin cycle. Repair techs changed drain hose assembly, but still immediately leaked. Spring clamps on these hoses have no strength, but I am not sure this is the problem, OR everyone's washer would leak. SO is anyone having this problem?? Would give all 5 stars if no leak.
