Our Promise
Just in time for Earth Day, AjMadison will kick off a year-long project delivering 100 refrigerators to support local Community Fridge programs. AjMadison pledges to donate fully functional scratch-and-dent fridges. This effort will repurpose unsalable refrigerators destined for the landfill, and give more communities a chance to reduce hunger.
Help Us Help Your Community
Help AjMadison place 100 refrigerators in the next 12 months! By reposting engaging content on social media, you will raise awareness about food insecurity and encourage your followers to learn more about Community Fridge Programs in their local areas. There are many ways to get involved! Invite local artists, community members, and influencers to decorate a fridge, or ask a favorite restaurant to donate extra food. Together, we can help more people stay fed and healthy.

Let There Be Food
A Community Refrigerator is a fridge placed outside in a public space. Farms, restaurants, and supermarkets donate extra food to these refrigerators and volunteers make sure the fridges are stocked and clean. Anyone can access these fridges as needed at no cost.
We're Only Getting Started
Everyone deserves quality food. New York City, Washington D.C., Miami, and Philadelphia are the starting locations of the year-long initiative. BlueStar has generously donated the first four refrigerators to these organizations. If your neighborhood could use a Community Refrigerator, request a donation here.
Make Your World a Better Place
The Community Refrigerator Project began in 2020 in Brooklyn, NY, and gained momentum as communities across the country saw a need to rescue soon-to-expire food and keep everyone fed. AjMadison donated NYC's 55th Community Refrigerator, affectionately named 'The People's Peoples Fridge' in Harlem, NY.
