I have found this to be a very proficient grill and very versatile. The infrared burner seriously sears the meat holding in the juices for slower cooking over the regular burners. Recommend for all who love versatile grilling!
We just finished our first meal from our new 450RBI. The steak was evenly cooked and the veggies nice and crisp after being cooked on a skewer.
My son and I put the BBQ together in about 30 minutes and were impressed with the quality of the materials and design of the unit is general. This is the first BBQ that we've owned with an IR burner and like how it seers the steaks and burgers. Heat control is very good, easy to cleanup and prep for the next meal.
Glad we spent the $$ for this BBQ.

I am used to charcoal grills but, when this product was shown on the [...], I had to buy it. Napoleon infrared series grill is just what I was looking for in a gas grill.Yes, it is pricey, but has allowed me to grill meat to prefection using the infrared section first,then continue grilling using the normal flame sections. I but the grill together myself using the manual without problems (had it deleivered to my home)and I noticed the quality of the materals when putting it together is better than I have seen in any other grill bar none. Napoleon Prestige II Infrared Series has changed me from a 30 year charcoal user to gas. In the past I was looking for a gas grill that realy can sear meat the way I like (Infrared does it in minutes)and still keep the juices in the meat without turning the meat into leather (I like my meat well done) This grill does it well and because of using gas instead of coal, my cooking time is now only 20 minutes instead of two hours. Can't waite to try the rotisserie section but, the whole secret with the Napoleon grill is the infrared burners, and Napoleon is the first and only gas grill that offered infrared burners in the past and still uses the best quality materials than any grill I have looked at. Moving the grill around on my cement patio showes the quality of the grill, that being rock solid. Also,I like the way Napoleon designed the lower section that houses the gas tank so that the tank has its own solid resesed home to sit into and the tank does not move or bounce around while moving the grill. Lastly, this grill has lots of space on both sides to use while cooking for many people. Now I won't have to worry when family or friends come over as I know I can provide a tasty meal in record time using this grill. Could not say that using charcoal. By the way, this grill can be used buring charcoal using the special option charcoal holder. But I think that after anyone uses the infrared burner, they will never go back to charcoal agan getting that same tast in record time using infrared. Now, I will be able to grill year-round knowing I have the best grill in which to do it with. Napoleon, the best of gas grills

This product pales in comparison to some cheaper Weber products. There is no light, there is a cheap ignition system. Overall it is of cheap quality. Recommend you avoid Napoleon products.
