I have had this 36" refrigerator as well as the 36" freezer for ten years and there is NOT ONE SINGLE YEAR that I have not called a repairman to come out and fix it. Not counting the days I have to take off as each service call required at least two days as day one, a tech comes out to "diagnose" the problem and then they have to order the parts for another time and another visit, they never seem to be able to fix the problem. They change parts, they recalibrate, but the problem still exist. There is a factory defect that makes the condensor not come on properly so the bottom of my refrigerator fills up with water. This happens on the freezer too but then the water freezes up on the bottom rendering the bottom drawers useless as they are frozen and the freezer does not get cold enough no matter how cold I make it. If it was for the fact that I spent a fortune on the stupid things, I will just throw them out. GE Customer Service do not care because whenever I call them, they offer me a 10% discount to get a new one. Like I really would spend money on another GE Monogram. Never again. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and purchase a different brand this year.
