We purchased a GE Monogram in our new home on Kauai 5 years ago to match all our other appliances.
Do not purchase this refrigerator, especially in high humidity locations, as it will not keep a healthy temperature. This year we have had 4 service calls already, 2 temperature sensors were replaced, the main controller board also replaced twice.
Our closet has become a virtual parts graveyard of non-working parts. Service for the controller boards are close to $1500 each time.
Our model does not have an alarm on the freezer, and it is easy to leave the freezer door ajar, thinking it was closed fully. This starts a cascading failure, the refrigerator goes into overdrive trying to cool things down, which causes icing in the back of the refrigerator. Tech suggests turning off for 72 hours to thaw the ice. We had to buy a second refrigerator to keep our food safe.

We bought this unit 3 years ago and it has worked well. It looks great and is easy to keep organized. The relative shallowness of frig makes it very easy to see what is there. The freezer can be set to very low temps if needed.
The only problem has been the ice maker. I worked great for 3 years then stopped working. The service technician said the 'gears' were bad inside and it need a replacement @ $200 plus labor. The new ice maker has a 5 year warranty on it, but the original is only warrantied for 1 year. Seems odd and a bit disappointing that the first one failed so soon.
Overall we like our purchase.
