I decided to write this review because, when I looked for reviews on appliances, there never seem to be anything but upset people who take the time to post.
We bought this to replace a washer that was in the house we bought last summer. We have had it about 3 months and so far, so good. Clothes come out clean, it is easy to use and it is not very loud (granted, we have a closed off laundry room but I think it is pretty quiet regardless).
Overall, I give it a very good rating, assuming it lasts as I hope it will

No bells and whistles, but my cabrio which had bells and whistles just took a trip to the scrap yard after only five years.

I enjoy the fact of not setting the water level. Last month our water bill was 1 unit less than it had ever been. Also I received a rebate from our electric company because it's an Energy Star product. I like having to use less liquid detergent, another money saving feature. I like the steel tub and no agitator in the center of the tub. I believe it's more gentle on fabric and clothing. After the cycle is complete the washed items have less water in them , therefore requiring less drying time. I am extremely pleased with my new Whirpool washer.

This machine replaced a 30+ yr old washer also a whirlpool.
The tub is big handles loads nearly 2x the size of my old washer, Very quiet. For a low water use machine I have been quite surprised and pleased by the performance, Everything cleans and rinses well and spins out very well. Definitely even though I am doing bigger loads my drying time is about 30% less. This of course saves even more energy cost. I have always liked the whirlpool brand for quality. I fully except many years of trouble free use out of this one.
