  • ColdWash System
  • Using the cold cycle on your washer doesn't have to mean compromising. The ColdWash system uses cold water and enhanced washing motions to penetrate deep into fabrics, giving you cold water savings with warm water performance.
  • WaveForce technology
  • If you thought water had done all it could to clean your clothes, you haven't experienced WaveForce technology. Rapid drum movement and powerful water jets provide a revolutionary washing and rinsing experience.
  • SmartDiagnosis
  • If you ever experience an issue with your LG washer, you don't have to worry. The SmartDiagnosis feature helps the service center diagnose problems over the phone, or with a simple app on your smart phone, helping you minimize costly, inconvenient service
  • 10-Year Warranty
  • When you buy a washer, you want something reliable that you can count on. Because the Direct Drive Motor uses fewer moving parts and operates more efficiently, LG confidently backs the motor with a 10-year limited warranty.
  • TrueBalance Anti-Vibration
  • You shouldn't know your washer is on when you're in the next room. The LG TrueBalance anti-vibration system is designed to minimize washer noise and vibration for smooth, quiet performance in any room of the house - even on the 2nd floor.
  • Save Money. Save Energy.
  • When your washer uses about 30% less energy and half the amount of water used by regular washers, you're going to make an impact-on your utility bills, your energy and water consumption, and most importantly, the environment.

Product Reviews
Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 812 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by The worst purchase in my life We bought wt5001cw model which was replaced my this one. 1) "Super-duper energy efficiency" is achieved by hard tumbling. I ALWAYS set up this machine on the lowest possible setting for soil and spinning, yet it ruined a whole load of clothes. Everything made of knitted fabric (read: all T-shirts and all short-sleeve shirts) after one single washing cycle is stretched to the point that it is no longer usable, precisely - became 2 times wider and 2 times shorter. Also, I have 2 regular shirts ruined - the machine tears off buttons with pieces of fabric, and just tears apart fine fabric. I want to underline again - it happened on the LOWEST SOIL and SPIN setting. So, basically, if you are interested in "Delicate" cycle - it does not exist. All other cycles have no value, since you will get your clothes ruined anyway. The only thing the machine could be usable - washing jeans and soldier uniforms. Towels and linens are OK too, but forget about washing your clothes, any knitted and fine fabric. 2) Because it is "high energy efficiency" machine, YOU CAN NOT CHOOSE WATER TEMPERATURE. Well, nominally you can, but in practice it tries to use cold water only. In most of the settings except the last one you will get cold water in the washing tank. The highest possible setting "hot/warm" still uses cold water from the tap, and the machine does not have water heater. So, to get hot water only you have to dance abound it, and turn cold water tap off, then on. 3) "Water efficiency" feature does not exist - it has A COUPLE of settings like "half tank" and "full tank". So, if you want to wash a couple of jeans or 4 shirts, you will get A HALF tank of water, and the tank is HUGE. And you have no control of the amount of water! Overall - taking into account the price, the "efficiency", and the amount of good clothes I have spoiled by the machine - this is the worst purchase in my life. All these bells and whistles, "12 washing cycles" have no value, since all you will get: COLD ATER and HARD TUMBLING, no matter how you will set it up. 6/22/12
Rated 5 out of 5 by Magnificent Machine I read all the reviews of many models and the LG's had wonderful reviews. This machine is soooo great !. Quiet beyond my wildest expectations. Fun to watch thru the clear window top. It wiggles and waggles while judging the amount of weight and water to use. Far less water use. It amazes me how well it judges the amount of water used. The controls are really easy. I love the "agitatorless" action. I really was hesitant to get a Non agitator washer, but this is great. I find that this tub is far larger than I had before and still have an older dryer, so it takes 2 loads of drying to match the 1 load of wash. Maybe my dryer will quit so I can get the matching dryer. I really like the "non slam" lid feature as the men in my family drop the door all the time. Clothes are really clean and so dry when they come out compared to the older machine. The hi spin works great! No balancing of loads anymore. It self adjusts the loads. Have only had it 1 month, so we'll see if it lasts as long as my old one. 26 years was a long time in service for my older Kitchenaid ( no longer made). The idea of calling customer support while holding the phone up to the machine for analysis is a novelty. Hope I don't have to use it. Plenty of cycle choices and will do a small load as easily as a full one. It takes longer to run a load...45 minutes vs 30 minutes, but that's ok if the clothes come out clean. Spots seem to come out well. Washer is expensive, but as I said, Its been 25 years. So far, I'm very pleased with my choice. Easy, simple installation but i would suggest stainless steel hoses as the pressures are higher than the older ones. 8/19/12
Rated 5 out of 5 Makes Laundry Fun... No REALLY! Watching this washer run for the first time was FASCINATING! It weighs out and balances the items, cascades the water/detergent into the load, it agitates VERY well, and the spin cycle gets the clothes practically dry. The capacity is enormous. I tend to under-load the washer just because I'm not used to having so much space. The wash cycles are fairly lengthy so if you are looking for an under 30 minute wash-time, this probably isn't the unit for you. But, the clothes come out so well spun dry, the dry cycle is fast. Bottom-line, I'm kind of in love with my washing machine. :) 12/17/12
