I bought this along with the LG SteamDryer DLGX4071W. They both fit in my fairly cramped Brooklyn laundry room yet can handle large loads of laundry. Having gone from a Maytag all-in-one "laundry center" to this, the difference is like night and day. Front loaders really do get your clothing cleaner! For example, stains and lint that I thought were permanent on socks and underwear disappeared after one wash. There are so many choices of cycles that you can truly wash anything in this machine. I had worried about reviews that some LG washers developed a mold problem, but I can see how that could happen in any front loader just by virtue of the fact that there has to be a heavy rubber gasket and seal inside the front door to prevent leakage. I think regular cleaning and maintenance will do the trick, along with using the feature that allows you to keep the door propped securely open an inch or so after each wash. All in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase. (And by the way, AJ Madison provides excellent customer service!)

You can program the machine to exactly the type of load you are doing. Great time saver and wonderful clean laundry.

This washing machine has a very inconvenient drawer for putting in detergient/bleach/softner. I have a laundry closet with bi-fold doors. In order to get softner in, I have to partially close bi-fold to pull drawer further out to reach the softner dispenser. Would have bee better right next to detergent holder. The displays along side of dial do NOT light up, only temp/spin/mins side. I really wanted the MAYTAG 9000 and was told AJMadison only had in white and would not be getting any more. I wish I had taken the white in retrospect. Thank you.

Love the new washer. Holds huge loads and works very well. Only downside is the need to leave door open so drum can dry out after loads. If you forget you will notice the smell. Overall a great washer.
