Rated 5 out of 5Â by Busy Mom I love my washing machine!
I had to replace my washing machine (again) and was very excited when we purchased the LG washing machine with the steam feature. I was so happy to see it performed as well as I was told. My clothes actually turned out cleaner than before! This machine has so many options for washing laundry. I have washed everything from delicates to queen sized comforters. I wash most clothes on the speed cycle. You can change the temperature, the amount of spin and set how dirty the clothes are. I have actually washed AND dried a load of clothes in 30 minutes! When I wash sheets and towels, I use the sanitary cycle to be sure to kill germs. The steam-cleaning feature is amazing and I have been surprised how often it is used. Between my teenage boys and large dogs, my washing machine never seemed to rest. I can now do all of my laundry in one day with the quick cycle. I have even helped neighbors when they had a lot of laundry to wash and little time to get it done. They could not believe how fast their clothes were ready. At this point, my washer is the best appliance I own...hopefully LG has made this product to last for years to come!

WrayKS99 Great buy
I took a chance and instead of buying this from my local Home Depot I bought it over the Internet. With the price and free delivery from New York to Florida, I saved nearly $600 (including dryer).
The family thinks it is awesome, easy to use and exceptionally quiet. I put a door on the room because we needed it for the old washer and dryer to watch TV, but we don't need the door for the new one. The washer is actually quieter than the dryer, because buttons and other things make more noise in the dryer than the dryer itself.
Since every front load dryer has mold and mildew problems if the door is left closed, I bought this for two additional reasons: first the Tub Clean+ cycle which you run once per month with some bleach, and secondly because the door has a magnetic lock position just before the door closes which keeps it slightly ajar.
Rather than buy expensive pedestals, I built my own wood stand with foam rubber on the bottom to reduce noise even further.
The only negatives about the whole experience was that the shipping company slighly compressed the box (and I didn't see it during inspection), so a back panel was slightly bowed, but easily fixable. The other thing is that credit card companies are rightly suspicious of such large purchases as a washer and dryer and it took a while (a week before I figured out the problem) to get the credit approved.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by NJ Mom Wonderful Machine!
I bought this washer and cannot believe that it has been discontinued. It is a wonderful machine! So quiet, so many cycle choices; you can wash any way you want to. The steam cycle is great. There is a sanitizing cycle too. Love this washer!
I heard about possible mildew issues that are common with all front loading washers - but I just leave the door open for a few hours after finishing my wash loads and/or leave the door ajar. I haven't experienced any problems like that.

I purchased this washer about two years ago and it is wonderful, quiet, efficient and does the job perfectly.
I have a second home and the Whirlpool washer finally failed, so I replaced it with another LG just like the one I have. I am completely happy with it as well.
My son also has an LG and with his family they do 14 - 20 loads a week. They are also very happy with theirs. The only problem they have had is if you don't leave the door open after washing to let the insides dry out, you can get mildew. I leave the door ajar for a couple of hours, so I have never had the problem. The new LG, just purchased, has a magnet that allows the door to remain slightly open, so LG was aware of the problem and have fixed it with the new model.
