Established in 1958, LG Electronics, Inc. (LG) is a global leader and technology innovator in consumer electronics, home appliances and mobile communications, employing more than 82,000 people working in over 110 operations including 81 subsidiaries around the world.
Comprising four business units - Mobile Communications, Digital Appliance, Digital Display and Digital Media with 2006 global sales of USD 38.5 billion - LG is the world's leading producer of CDMA/GSM handsets, air conditioners, front-loading washing machine, optical storage products, DVD players, flat panel TVs and home theater systems.
Instead of moving water to the tub using an agitator, a front-loading washing machine uses gravity. It requires less water, holds larger loads and saves energy. LG's front-loading washer performs distinctively based on its powerful Direct Drive system, incredible loading capacity, and value-added technologies.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Mom of two Have had for 3 yrs and HATE it!!!
This washing machine is terrible!! It shakes the whole house I can't even do laundry when we are home most the time because my children can't even take their naps, it scares them!! It also will grow mold in the soap despenser tray so after every use I have to take it out dump out the excess water and then let it air dry out of the machine... I will never buy another LG again. I kick myself everyday for buying this set with peda-stools, it was a waste of money!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by beach81959 One of the best I've ever used
Low water consumption, easy to use and with the myriad of setting selections, it gets everything clean. My son has an auto detailing business and the microfiber cloths he uses get so filthy but after a run through this washer they come out looking brand new. It's even better on regular clothing, the 4.0 cu.ft. capacity is great for large loads and even with a stuffed load everything comes clean. Definitely recommend this washer or it's replacement model. just wish I had gone for the steam option model

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Chaz Great Washer
We have had this washer with pedestal about a month. It uses way less water and it gets the clothes clean. One advantage is that it spins the water out so well compared to our old top-loader that the drying time is cut in half. Another plus is with the pedestals & front loading your not constantly bending over to load and unload. It is easy to use. The only negative is with the occasional unbalanced load it stops with an error displayed. I have not really figured out how to continue the cycle after repositioning clothes without actually stopping and starting a new cycle, but it could just be that I need to read the manual.
