Their ranges use more steel and porcelain than virtually all of the competition, and NEVER use cinder-blocks to add weight and balance, as many imported ranges do.

I was loooking for a 36" wide electric range. Not a lot of choices. I was replacing a 35 year old one. The one I bought fit the bill exactly and I had no problems.

I was looking for something with a little old fashion look to it for my 1900's kitchen. Didn't want to spend thousands. I love my Summit. It cooks great and everyone that comes in comments on it. Only thing that disappointed me was the fact that the name on it is just a sticker.
Be sure when a delivery is made you check it really good. There was a lot going on in my house the day it was delivered and the delivery men were running late and in a hurry. I had to rush through the inspection and missed a couple of chips in the paint. Hey, that's my own fault for not insisting on a more time consuming examination of the product

I spent a long time selecting the range. My retro kitchen remodel needed just the right thing. I wasn't going to pay the $10-15K for a refurbished gas range but wanted something that would fit and was at least 36" with storage. There are very few 36" ranges available now and extra storage is non-existent so this was good. I would have preferred 2 large burners rather than 3 small ones. The range works OK, cooks and looks right but is ultimately generic. As a compromise for a 40's kitchen look it's as good as a budget will allow.

I cook from a chair, I love this stove. Has knobs in front, a work space on top, oven door is easy open when cooking from chair. I no longer burn myself reaching for knobs in back and on oven. Thanks
