Quality Always Come from Dedication
It all began in 1950 in Vara, Sweden, when Karl Erik Andersson received his first order for a washing machine, from his mother. The farmer, Karl Erik, thought about it carefully and produced a washing machine that didn't look like washing machines did in those days. Word of the revolutionary model spread and nothing's been the same since. Karl Erik built a small factory on the farm and started making washing machines full time. A few years later he built his first dishwasher and tumble dryer. Business gathered momentum and more and more dishwashers, washing machines and dryers left the door of the small factory in Vara. Today, there are around 1,000 employed at production plants in Sweden and Finland, and countless more in sales companies in 35 countries around the world. In 1987, they opened their office in North America and today they are proudly sold by the number one team of independent dealers and distributors in the appliance industry. They are well aware that they have customers all over the world, all of whom place high demands on design, function and care for the environment.
In 1999, their environmental work had advanced so far that they received environmental certification in accordance with ISO 14001. This meant a great deal to them, but even more for you and the environment.

This thing decided to kick the can the day after I quit my job to start one of the most expensive graduate school programs in the country. Honestly, timing could not have been any worse.
You won't even believe it when I tell you that after discovering my Asko was trying to dry and wash clothes at the SAME TIME, I walked outside only to find a tree had fallen on my PT Cruiser. I promise you, this Asko will kick you when you are down.

I got this washer/dryer combo for the kitchen to fit in the dishwasher space.
I made a mistake getting it; it's broken down 4 times in 4 years. Because it's imported replacement parts are expensive & take almost 2 months to arrive. I've spent so much repairing the dryer I've given up on it so now it's a washer only.
Not having a dryer doesn't make that much difference because when the dryer worked the clothes were damp after three hours so I hung them out to dry. If I had known what I was getting into I would have saved money and gotten a front loading washer.

I like the way this machine looks but beyond that i don't like it. It washes my clothes well and the small size is nice for apartments or small homes. Drying them on the other hand takes so much longer than a normal dryer. After drying my clothes for about 3 hours i have to set them out for about another 2 hours to air dry. If someone could fix that problem then this washer/dryer would be wonderful.

I have owned an Asko as well as an LG and have liked both. On the plus side these combos save space and can be used were there is no venting. They also do a better job of washing and don't cook and eat your clothes like conventional dryers. On the down side it takes substantially longer to wash and dry. I found that since these machines spin fast and remove most of the water hanging the clothes to dry after a short drying period seems to work fine. But then that's my opinion. I grew up on the praries were mom washed clothes on a washboard and hung them outside in 40 below weather so for me these are great machines.
