I have one of these. It's in my garage as a storage unit for paint, tools and various odds/ends. It lasted just about 1 year and the service guy said forget it, it wasn't worth trying to repair. Avanti, of course, was absolutely no help. It's unfortunate, but seems true, that these things are just cheap junk made poorly by design, not by necessity. If you buy something like this, get an extended warranty, register it immediately, and plan on using the service.

At first, I was a bit hesitant to order this Avanti unit, as well as ordering it from a company that was not local and I had not heard of. I had read stories about problems with online vendors and this unit breaking down but liked the customer service I received on the phone and decided to move forward. Outside of a few of our bottles being quite snug in the shelves, I couldn't be happier with the unit ... it's worked flawlessly since arriving and looks great. My wife said that the delivery guys were friendly, patient and even moved it to the right place in our basement. For the value, I'd certainly recommend this product and using AJ Madison!

Even that I just got the cooler and can't comment on it's performance yet, I have to mention that the space on this cooler is not enough for 160 bottles, unless you only collect small bottles.

I like it, but it has 16 tight-fitting shelves that each hold 6 bottles. I say tight because non-standard bottles (those that bulge a bit) make it difficult to pull the shelf out.
Anyway, 16 x 6 = 96, not 166.
Maybe if you took the shelves out and just jammed everything in one on top of another it would be 166, but I'm not about to do that.
