I'm not sure how someone gets 40 bottles into this unit, it's a tight squeeze. The shelves do not pull pull out smoothly- kind of a jerky motion to get them out and they stick sometimes on the shelf above.
That said for the price I suppose it's still a good deal.

After about two months of owning this cooler and post purchase investigation I have come to the conclusion that this unit is like leasing a car. From a vanity standpoint it is attractive and maintains tempature + or - 1 degree. Foolishly I should have looked more into the cooling unit I would have discovered that it's a sealed unit. Hence it's not repairable if it breaks. At the price they are selling for it's going to be a darn shame to have to throw out a $500 unit because a $100 repair can't be made.

I have had this unit for a short time and all is well,The DANBY unit that was simular had to be repaired twice in 5 yrs and I gave up on it as costs were staring to get more then the thing was worth
