I bought this washing mashing for the second time (after the first one didn't survive the flood after 3 years of intensive use). They improved the door - it closes better and easier now. Otherwise the same great performance, very quite and very gentle to the garments. I wash lot's of wool, silk and knits. I had no damaged clothes so far. Very small water and energy consume. Have no problems with mold or smell, but I leave the door always opened when I don't use the machine. In household with two small kids the size is perfect, as I prefer to wash often. I get full load only when I wash beddings.

The washing machine. Even when it worked, it was annoying - took a long time to cycle/wash/dry and was loud during the rinse and spin cycles.
Within six month of owning it, started getting stuck during the wash cycle to where you have to restart the cycle over. Eventually the door jammed and our clothes were stuck inside for a week with runaround from Bosh and the store we bought it from until we finally had to break the door handle to get our clothes out.
Avoid this unit!!

What more could be said - it fits the space I have which is a challenge in itself, it washes brilliantly and is quiet.
Only thing that would have made the whole experience better is knowing it was 240V, and *KNOWING* that there was a 240V outlet on the back of the matching dryer I also purchased. That whole stress thing took a couple of years off my life.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by sunnydaze I hate Bosch!
We were restricted to Bosch because of size. I hate it so much, I am ripping out walls to fit a different brand. I have tried to tolerate the Bosch for the last 1.5 years and I cannot take it any longer. The unit damages the clothes by leaving detergent, bleach spots, etc... the clothes don't come out as clean as they should, the dispensers leak, mold grows on the dispensers and inside, the washer stinks like mold, there is black mold growing on the rubber unit within the first month, there are very little options as far as settings. I have tried cleaning the mold and smell and it continues to come back. The dispensers are confusing and there are conflicting directions on which area you put the soap, bleach, softener. I have decided that Bosch does not work with bleach because every time I use it - it ruins the clothes and/or drips onto the floor. This is the 3rd time I have been forced to use Bosch (boats, apartments, etc.) and I will never, ever, ever live with one again! Whirlpool is awesome, LG Awesome and my next will be Electrolux. But.. .did I tell you how much I hate Bosch!!! Don't do it!!! Find another option!!!
