These machines are great for washing wool and delicates. Clothes washed in these machines simply last longer so the machine pays for itself in time. My last Miele washer is stll in service and has worked with minimal repairs for 17 years, used by a family of five. This is a second machine. We did buy a larger vertical Maytag machine, but the suspension failed in 8 months and it damaged clothes.
The machine is small and capacity limited., but the small size is part of why clothes last longer.
