Product Reviews
Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Value Have been using this unit daily since it was delivered in the spring. 3 meals a day plus baking. Have loved it since. Not a lot of frills, but the combination of burners and the burners themselves are fantastic. The oven cooks quite evenly, not perfectly, but once you learn to get the racks positioned for what you want to do, it does very well. 9/27/11
Rated 4 out of 5 by Full Power! Almost perfect. Purchased back in October and finally had a chance to install and use. We converted to propane use. Great looking and solid construction. Slight problem with legs attaching square to the base. This was due to the sidepanel material (Stainless steel ) being a fraction to long and interfearing with the leg. Burners would not properly adjust untill we tweeked all the low settings as outlined in the installers manual that came with the unit. Make sure you do this or have it done by installer. Oven Runs one setting hotter than faceplate number reads. this could be due to propane conversion. This stove is very close to commercial grade and power. You have to get used to not using it on High! You can heat up massive stock pots of liquid very quickly on the center burner or either one of the front burners. Not alot of bells and wistles but that is what we wanted. Less to break. Love the infared broiler, its just like a commercial salamander. Large broiler area, super even heat at very high temps. You can caramelize your Creme Brulee or Meringue topping in seconds! no need for a torch. Convection oven appears to work well for even heating. Have just used for basic heating so far. Looking forward to trying out on a large baking project. Solid large cast iron grates on the stove that are almost continous. I was concerned in the disctiption that the grates were not continous but no problem, you can easlly slide heavy pans from one burner to another. One note. I like to make coffee with a small Italian stovetop espresso maker and it will only fit on the center warmer burner. All other burner grates and flames are too big. 12/27/11
Rated 1 out of 5 by VERONA IS THE WORST EVER!!! DON'T BUR ANY VERONA APPLIANCE THE DO NOT WORK AND THEY HAVE NO SUPPORT AND NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! JUST TRY TO FIND A SERVICE TECHNICIAN FOR VERONA OVENS. ITS NOT KNOWN AND THEY ARE RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED! MAKE YOUR RESEARCH AND DON'T BUY THEM! 6/18/12
Rated 2 out of 5 by not again. The good: plenty of BTU’s to cook anything, convention oven, light in oven allows to see items baking, looks like a well-built stove. The bad: When cooking pancakes on the lowest setting using cast iron pans, the pancakes must be watched judiciously or they will burn (too hot). If I use a thinner type pan, the burner has to be turned off/on to prevent it from getting too hot and burning the pancakes. The SS surface will scratch when using a 3M scotch bright pad. When lighting the middle burner, the control sticks so the igniter continues to click, I have to pull the knob out. The convention oven bakes unevenly. The oven temperature controller is unreliable, 4 = 325 to 350 degrees, I have to keep a thermometer in the oven and adjust controller to the thermometer. Last, but the greatest thumbs down, the design of the legs are poor at best. I should have figured that out when the manual said it shouldn’t be slid into place or the legs would break. Talk about a pain trying to get a 200+ pound stove into place when there is counter on both sides and a wall in the back. Too top it off, once in place, the stove is very unstable. I had to place shims between the counter and the stove top to “lock it” in place, otherwise if I barely push on the stove top it would wobble back and forth. Once I get everything in final position, I will seal it in place with a bead of caulking. A person should not have to “caulk” a $3,000 stove in place to prevent it from moving. Last but not least, it took 5 weeks from shipping to delivery. I live in one of the biggest cities in Montana, not the bush country in Alaska. 7/7/12
