Viking introduced professional cooking to the home when their first range shipped in 1987. Now that same exceptional performance extends into every corner of the kitchen - even the backyard. Refrigerators. Wine Cellars. Dishwashers. Grills. Cookware. Cutlery. Small appliances. It's enough to turn any cook into a chef.
When people think of Viking, the bold, commercial look of the Professional Series range is the image that most likely pops into their heads. Ultra-premium features like high-performance burners, convection baking, and infrared broiling easily handle everything from crème brûlée to rack of lamb. The legendary Viking range is available in gas and electric models, as well as an array of sizes and finishes to fit any kitchen.
And for those who want professional performance without the professional look, there is the Designer Series. Clean lines and contours meld gracefully into cabinets with style, offering a striking new look for Viking. Fully equipped with outstanding features and power, this complete line of built-in products doesn't sacrifice any of the world-renowned Viking performance for fashion's sake. Haute couture meets haute cuisine.
Viking doesn't see the kitchen as a collection of products, but a complete cooking environment. Cooking isn't a chore - it's an art form. Everything must work together in form and function. Both the Professional and Designer lines deliver the ultimate in performance with a cohesive look for the kitchen. Each line offers a full range of products, so you don't have to resort to mixing and matching brands and styles. Viking offers the truly consistent ultra-premium kitchen. The complete Viking kitchen is complete perfection.
As every cook knows, perfection is a never-ending process. And the new dual fuel sealed burner range is proof of that. From the delicate VariSimmer setting to the 15,000 BTU front burner, this is the most precise and powerful sealed burner system available. The redesigned range also offers the largest oven capacity and one of the fastest preheat times on the market. And a host of ultra-premium features will help you perfect even your most challenging recipes.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Homepro Dave Sadly Disappointed in my Viking
I'm the owner of a VDSC Viking Dual Fuel range for over 10 years now, and after paying over 7000 for it, and another 1500 for the hood and fan, I have to say it's the worst range I've ever owned. (Note that I bought it from another company, not AJ Madison. But I had to vent, and warn folks.)
Even right now it's sitting in the kitchen chattering away at itself for the past hour, the self-clean relay's failed again.
I loved the Viking idea, I'm a home gourmand, and it's a real conversation piece when friends are over. Great for cooking Indian and Chinese food!
But I have been so disappointed with the unit itself!
Oven frequently out of calibration, self-cleaning feature usually breaks within 3 months of service repair, plastic cheesy knobs, labeling and writing worn off after about 9 months. The ignition unit has failed repeatedly, the electronic control units have been replaced many times. The main control board's been replaced twice.
I'm tired of it, and my wife regularly reminds me it's an overpriced, overrated lemon. Ouch.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Chelae Best purchase
I have had this range for about a year. Fantastic!!! I debated, researched, etc for a long time. My only regret is not buying sooner.
The person that had the discolored grates, if you review the cleaning instructions they state if you do remove the grates they will discolor.
I highly recommend this range

Rated 1 out of 5Â by MER Looks good on TV..but
Viking is every home cooks dream! At least that was me a year ago. I saved for several years to spend the 22,000.00 I did on my Viking kitchen. I know its not good to have dreams that are material, but I did. I cant tell you how much I regret this dream. When I think of Viking I think professional and durable, great quality appliances to last a lifetime. That is so not the real case. Let me tell you about my Viking experience. I will say I should have read more reviews before I spent that much money, but I figured if the chefs on TV use these, they must be the case. The 9,000.00 stove I purchased is beautiful, but is not a professional grade stove. I have had more service calls and problems with every inch of it since day one. The oven does not keep an accurate temp whatsoever! The fridge has had a new compressor and it is in month 13 of use. The dishwasher has also had 2 new pumps and still does not clean the already clean dishes. I spend more time washing the dishes going into the dishwasher than it would take me to just wash them by hand. The big nice professional venting system I was talked into does not vent smells at all. If I fry anything my house will smell of it for days. The vent really only helps move the smoke around from the cooking of that day. I will never buy this brand again. I am looking into the new GE Cafe line, and it has great reviews! I can do my whole kitchen for about 6500.00 and hopefully I can find someone to buy this viking piece from me. Please do yourself a favor and read the reviews, Viking only looks nice, it preforms like a cheap appliance. Spend your money on better things and better upgrades! GE has been in this line of business for many years and they seem to have gotten it right!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by GR Beware!
I purchased this gorgeous range less than a year ago. Oven temp is not exactly on par, but I have learned to adjust the temp as otherwise everything is overcooked. That is not the big complaint. At the end of the winter I decided to self clean the oven as not to heat it up in the summer as it got dirtier. Just as I have done before I selected self clean on the knob and expected to come back to an oven I could wipe out and have it crystal clean. Not the case, sure it cleaned the oven but it ruined the grates. All three grates were discolored and none would slide without yanking and making a horrible noise. I contacted Viking customer service and they said you should remove these before cleaning...what?!?! They offered to sell me new ones through a part distribution center but said they would do nothing as I should have removed the oven grates before cleaning the oven. I have never heard of this!
I expected high end service from Viking due to this issue, but I got nothing. Customer service is everything, Viking does not provide.
