The Hoover story begins in 1907. Murray Spangler, an inventor who worked nights as a janitor, had an asthma problem. He called upon his inventor's creativity to find a solution to the dust that aggravated his asthma as he swept up at night. Spangler gathered a tin soap box, a fan, a sateen pillow case and a broom handle, and assembled an odd-looking, cumbersome contraption that managed to pull the dust away from the air he breathed. He quickly realized that this "suction sweeper," as he called it, had enormous sales potential, and he began seeking financial backing. W.H. "Boss" Hoover, owner of a leather goods manufacturing shop, bought the patent from Spangler in 1908, retained him as a partner, and soon had six employees assembling six units a day in a corner of the leather goods shop. Now that's a humble beginning.
The WindTunnel T-Series WindTunnel Rewind Plus upright vacuum cleaner is a perfect example of excellent cleaning performance. There's no loss of suction with Hoover patented WindTunnel technology that removes embedded dirt and minimizes scatter on carpet. It includes a powerful hand tool for precision cleaning, a rinsable filter, a high-quality HEPA filter, and on-board tools. The automatic cord rewind and the convenient folding handle makes storing the WindTunnel Rewind Plus a snap. Make use of the 5 position carpet height adjustment feature that allows you to adjust as needed to clean all flooring types efficiently. The brush roll access allows you to easily transition from carpet to bare floors, making all-around cleaning a simple option instead of a hassle.

I have had this model since December of 2012. Very disappointed. Suction is good. Hose too short. Cord too short. Foot pedal to shut the brushes off only holds for about a minute and then the brushes begin to turn. This is why I bought it I have wood floors and carpet. Would work if you only had carpet and didn't want to use the attachments.

Sadly, I'm not impressed with this model. We have several animals as well as regular household cleaning and it consistently does not handle the load. It clogs easily well before the container reaches full. Have to remove the hose to clean the clogs and it's difficult to re-attach. Container capacity is pretty low anyhow. Both seals in the bottom lid of the container fall out often, had to replace them. If you don't catch them when the fall out while dumping the dirt, they're gone. That causes pressure loss and more clogging. Hose is too small, so I end up dragging or carrying the vac around by it - then the vac falls over. I recommend buying another model and not a bagless one at that. Need to have another vacuum to clean this one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kelsey Most Useless Vaccuum I've ever owned
I vacuum once every week or two. I live in a small house with just me and my one dog. I can't vacuum one room without this thing overheating, it literally shuts itself off. It won't turn on again until it cools down, which often takes hours up til a couple days. I can't vacuum only part of a room every few days. (I have cleaned all the filters and followed all other suggestions in the manual). So completely useless. Oh did I mention I've only owned it less than 4 months.
