I bought this about a month or so ago I am beginning to hate it. It is constantly clogging, especially where the hose goes into machine. I'm getting pretty good at taking the machine apart and unclogging. My question is why did Hoover attach the hose to the machine, my old Hoover, which lasted over 10 years; hose did not attach and did not clog, Over all the vacuum is great

I've used this unit about 6 mos now and it picks up lint, dog hair (long haired lab) very well. Wish bags had more capacity as it's always filling up with the hair and the very short extention hose is next to useless. Have to spend extra for ext. hose. If it wasn't for the dog hair filling it up I think regular households would be fine.

Its very easy to use, light weight and its does what it promises; removes all the dust and dirt from your carpets.

I bought this vacuum after my new 70400 died, with only 60 days of use. The main thing I look for is ultra light, easy to carry up and down stairs, easy to maneuver, as I want it for every day use on all floor types. Based on Consumer Reports, this vacuum has high ratings and high recommendations, and I wanted to give a try to the same brand Hoover, as I had liked the other one. I had read the review that comment about the cheap materials, and wow, its true. I thought I had gotten a great deal on Thanksgiving week, but after having to call Hoover many times because the order was not being processed, when it arrived I was very disappointed. I used it immediately as my house was in need of a vacuum. I did only the small living room and office, and I started with back pain. I had no energy left to do the kitchen, and no strength to take it upstairs. I did it all, but it took me much longer, because it is slow, and it does not get into every corner nor under furniture. The so called excellent suction was not impressive. I believe the 70400 is better. It is not an all floor vacuum, as you have to adjust height every time you change surfaces by bending. The only nice thing is the bag, that it keeps all the dirt there and you don't touch it. With the 70400 bagless, the canister will get so full so rapidly, that I had to clean it every time I used it, from the bottom and from the top, as I could not hold the whole house. I intended to have a vacuum I could use for my everyday cleaning, and this one I can not use it every day. May be once a week. I am going to return it, and give it another chance to the 70400.
