I purchased this freezer 3 years ago and the first one was replaced a year ago due to the dispenser malfunctioning. The same thing is now happening to the replacement freezer. Repairmen have tried to replace parts with no luck. All of the repairmen are surprised at how complicated the unit is to fix and cannot believe that water dispensing is available from an all freezer. It appears to not have a separate temp control unit for the water so the hose ends up freezing inside the door and fails to dispense water. Furthermore, if you try to dispense water when this occurs, it fries the motherboard and if you turn off the freezer, it will no longer turn back on. I'm working with Thermador for either yet another replacement, hopefully without a water dispenser and only an ice maker or a full refund. Very disappointing.

I purchased this product from an applilance wholesaler brand new. It was installed by my contractor and has never worked from day one. Repair has been out 4 times without being able to fix it. I am now told by Thermador that it is "under review" whether to replace it or not. Meanwhile I have been without a working freezer for 8 weeks. I would never buy another Thermador product again.
