Rated 4 out of 5 by Jassy Summit Wine Refrigerator
I purchased this wine refrigerator about 8 weeks ago as I needed one that was no taller than 34".
I was remodeling my kitchen so I had it sitting aside the first few days, and I thought the sound was a bit loud. I did call and complain and AJ Madison sent a repair person right away. He stated that he works mostly on hotel bars here in Las Vegas and Summit is one of the better brands he works on. Within 3-4 days the sound was much less. It is now in the space under the counter and you can barely hear the fan or compressor come on as it is enclosed on 3 sides.
The repair man suggested to solve the problem of not having dual control, the hotels put the red wine at the top where it is not as cold and the white wine at the bottom. That seems to do the trick.
I have mostly regular size bottles of wine, but it is hard to store larger bottles without lifting up the rack above them to put the larger bottles in and takel them out.
I definitely recommend this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Manadaka I expected better
Few WC's fit a compactor space and this one is expensive as a result. I'm coming up to a year of ownership and had three service calls. Kudo's to Summit-Storch for warranty but...
1) fan is same as computer PC fan -cheap -broke, noise. Replaced and all is quiet and running.
2) Overheated. Replaced part. 3) Set at 40F and holds at 47 - 52F. repair man coming this week. I'm less than 30 days from 1 year warranty which I'm told means replacement if 4 repairs in 12 months. Hmmm wonder what's going to fail next?

Rated 4 out of 5 by Massmays Nice Unit - Don't believe the bad reviews!
I did tons of research for a wine fridge that would fit in our ~17" space. I ended up purchasing this Summit unit and love it. During my research I read many reviews from people complaining about the noise the fridge made. I don't know why people are putting down this unit. It's totally quiet; much quieter than any refrigerator. The only knock I have on it is the # of bottles it holds and how they fit (I've got 28 in there max). Some bottles cause the shelves not to slide perfectly, but it's totally acceptable given the look, overall function, and price point. We love this unit!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Home Bar Affordable but loud
I purchased this unit and the matching beverage center because they were affordable and look nice. But they are loud, I can hear them an enitre room away when they run. I read this in prior reviews but figured how loud could they possible be. They were right, they are loud and if had to have them plugged in all the time I would return them. Luckly these are only used when we have planned events and i plug them in.
