The SKJ240 is perfect if you want to go the extra mile with your apartment. This Sealed Burner gas range is very unique and comes with all of Premiers' Quality features and more; for example, the Bakeview Window & Light, to check up on your baking without having to lose heat or risk getting burned.It also has Electronic Ignition System, which allows ALL burners, including the Oven, to be lit with a match in case of a power faliure. There are not many choices when shopping for a 24" range, and the Premier SJK340T and SJK240O are the best I found. Both are essentially the same product with only the color scheme differing. They have sealed burners for easy cleaning, electronic ignition for easy and safe use and 3 different burner outputs - 6,000 btu, 9,600 btu and 15,000 btu -- giving you full control. Most 24" ranges offer just 9,600 on all burners.
Overall, very pleased with these ranges.

You'd be shocked to discover that some of the newer 24" gas ranges are so cheap that the manufacturers have to add concrete blocks in the back so it won't tip forward. While not 1950's O'keefe & Merrit quality, the guage of metal used is good. There were no problems with operation either. Another important point in Premier is made in the USA and has great customer support. Something you don't want to overlook.
Also I have to mention how terrific AJ Madison has been with handling problems I've had with other purchases. Highly recommend them.

The Premier 24" is a great stove for a small apartment. I purchased this stove because I wanted a reliable electronic ignition (no pilot) stove for a rental. For the price I expected good quality and a stove that would be repair free for a long time. AJ Madison delivered quickly and set stove in place. Upon close inspection I noticed that the top was set on the stove crooked. Then the gas appliance regulator inlet had a crack in it and was leaking gas. All was corrected with a service call, but it delayed the move-in and was not trouble free after all.

picked up this model last night-
oven door handle mounted very crookedly, burner racks tip and scratch finish of top, screws stripped out of door hinges (all of them), broiler drawer hits oven door when closing, enamel chipped off at factory and "touched up" badly, burner valves are so crooked the cheap plastic knobs hit the panel when turning. It has all the features you want- but not the quality to make it last. Returning today.
