Best-in-Class Quiet
Bosch looks at noise reduction from all angles, as they've employed 18 unique sound-reducing technologies in their washers. And as the quietest line of dishwashers in the U.S., Bosch has a silence rating as low as 39 dBA (quietest dishwasher sold in North America). All Bosch quiet levels are certified by an independent lab and printed on the fascia.
Most Efficient
Winning the 2011 ENERGY STAR Award for Sustained Excellence was just the latest feather in Bosch's cap - after all, they've won two straight ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Awards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by John of Raleigh You don't know its running
Our previous dishwasher was quiet. In comparison to our new Bosch, the previous dishwasher sounded like a car without a muffler. This dishwasher has a light that shines on the floor to let you know its running otherwise you wouldn't know it is on. Standing right next to it, you don't hear it at all.
The dishes come out really clean, no spots and no haze. I read a previous review that said it's a little harder to load. Maybe, there could be a bit more room between the dishes. But we had a party for 12 and all the dishes fit and were really clean.
This is an excellent product although it is pricy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jdoc There are better Dishwashers
Having had the Whirlpool Gold series and a LG large capacity unit I find the Bosch 800 series comes up short in capacity, convenience and cost. While it is the quietest of the previous two units it is small compared to the LG and cost significantly more than the Whirlpool Gold series. It does clean as good as the others and time will tell if it keeps on working like the Whirlpool Gold Series. The LG was very convenient with its large capacity, interior light , and disposal/nonfilter feature, but, its longevity lasted only four years.

Rated 4 out of 5 Performs well but dificult to load dishs
Unit is very quiet and cleans very well but it is difficult to load dishes into the racks. The racks seem smaller than our older dishwasher and do not hold as many dishes.
I love the auto leak protection system as we installed over hardwood floors. I would have preferred that it also protected the incoming water line and drain connections.
