I had a perfectly good dishwasher, but it was loud, despite its name: quiet partner. We only ran it at night, because it was impossible to watch TV or have a normal conversation when it was on. Even at night, I could hear it run one floor above the kitchen. This one is barely heard and looks great. Stainless all around and inside and beautifully designed. Nothing bad to say at this point. Very expensive, so I am giving it 3 stars for value. Some complain about a loud end of cycle buzzer and poor drying. I never used a drying cycle in my old dishwasher and this one has a setting that allows you to use higher water tempretures on a rinse cycle to improve drying. It works a lot better than in my old dishwasher and very little water is left on plastics. It also has a setting for end of cycle volume or it can be completely turned off. I would recommend reading the manual. There are many setting and adjustments that can be made to individual taste. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who is willing to spend the money and wants the quietest dishwasher with enough cycles to accommodate anyone.

I bought this model based on the rave review in Consumer Reports. They obviously didn't live with theirs very long. 1) Dishes don't dry, they are always damp (the dishwasher does NOT have a heating element to dry); 2) All of the ink on the control panel buttons has worn off, after one year; Bosch generously offered to sell me an entire new control panel, 3) the racks are made of cheap plastic, which continually fall off or break off.
