I love that I can't hear the washer unless I'm standing next to it. I bought two and they both run like a dream.

I devoted many hours to comparing dishwashers in order to find the most attractive, functional, affordable, and energy efficient unit on the market. This Bosch DW has met these criteria and exceeded my highest expectations (only breaking my budget by a few hundred $ - but worth it and would do it again). Here's a quick rundown of features that I like and dislike, or are simply otherwise worth addressing.
Firstly, as a number of other reviewers have pointed out, if certain selections are not made on the DW, you will likely be left with wet dishes at the end of your cycle. The buttons I engage to get the cleanest and driest dishes in the shortest amount of time (regardless of the size of the load) include Auto, Sanitize, and Half Load. Turning on Extra Dry Heat (only have to do this once - see manual) is just slightly more difficult than pressing a single button on the unit but will offer up drier (and warmer) dishes to you at the end of a cycle. Also, be sure to use some sort of rinse aid such as Jet Dry and turn the dial to 6 to avoid streaks.
It's worth noting that while the unit seems quite energy efficient and performs excellently with the above-described settings engaged (establishing a 114-minute cycle), it does require a substantial amount of rinse aid for each cycle. A little icon on the display located under "Refill Rinse Aid" at the top of the unit will disappear when a sufficient amount of rinse aid is added. From what I've found, starting a cycle with not enough rinse aid (so that the flower icon is still visible when the cycle begins) will cause the DW to NOT dispense /any/ rinse aid at all and leave your dishes streaky and less clean. No flower icon = A sufficient amount of rinse aid has been added for the current cycle.
Installation was straightforward and the unit, being on the small side, was able to fit flush with my counter tops and look extraordinarily sharp, clean, and symmetrical once in place. HOWEVER, only two measly screws were included for securing the DW to my counter tops, which proved much too unstable and caused the DW to sway left or right and not stay centered with everyday use. To remedy this, I took a few 2" and 4" screws and sent those through the thick plastic of the DW where it was closest to the floor (and didn't look like it would interfere with any components), securing the DW to the ground until I actually /do/ want to move it. These screws are hidden, of course, behind the black metal plate near the bottom of the DW. Attempt that method at your own risk of breaking something.
PROS:
-Dishes always come out hot and super clean (my silver spoons actually shine and I see my reflection, which I have never seen before from this set of silverware!)
-Quiet!
-Easy to use.
-Energy efficient depending upon which settings are engaged (Express Wash runs a mere 30 minutes, but your dishes will be very wet).
-Spacious with countless configurations for organizing top and bottom rows of dishes.
CONS:
-Somewhat pricey (but still good value)
-Problems staying aligned (would not stay centered after installing, but this was resolved with a few long screws and some added effort)
-Requires a seemingly high amount of rinse aid per cycle.
