Rated 4 out of 5Â by Eli Functional, but noisy
This is an attractive fridge. We have it under the counter in a basement wet bar. We chose it for its looks and flexibility-- I wanted something to store both beer and wine.
The condenser fan is a loud whir, like a noisy computer fan. It's not horrible, but when there is no other noise I can hear it from the next room over. With TV or music or conversation, it fades into the background.
The pub wine racks look nice, and hold 10-12 bottles. They have a strange smell to them so I will probably try to put on a coat of urethane or perhaps some mineral oil. Thick champagne style bottles won't fit if you have a shelf in the next slot.
I find the shelf spacing to be strange. With the two wine racks in place it is hard to get more than one or two other truly usable shelves. I've settled on: glass top shelf to store upright beer bottles and bar supplies. Then, two wood shelves of wine bottles. A glass shelf to store champagne and prosecco. Another glass shelf to store beer cans or bottles on their sides, and the bottom of the fridge for upright cans and short bottles (like Red Stripe height). With this config, longnecks will only fit upright on the top shelf, or on the very bottom if I remove another glass shelf.
