This range hood is beautiful to look at, and does a decent job. At its higher settings, which you need to really get something like fish odor out, it sounds like somebody started a turboprop airplane in your kitchen. If we had to do it over again, I would have probably bought something with a stronger blower so we could operate it on a lower setting that really worked. Overall, I'd say this is a pretty good value for the money but it's much louder than I was hoping it would be.

On a low setting it is powerful to remove whatever you are cooking. I ran this through the celing using flexible ducts to the outside of my house with a vent at the siding--wow at full force it blows my shrubs down below. The lights are perfect for cooking without adding heat to the kitchen. This has been in my kitchen for about 9 months and I love it.
