Rated 3 out of 5 by Rocket22 Some Features Disappoint
The score of this review is based on the hood's installation, user interface, and performance. The hood was mounted under cabinets with a flush bottom and vented outside through 7" round duct.
Removal of the protective film on the hood and grease filters was unusually tedious and time-consuming. It was difficult to "knock out" the duct openings for connection of 7" round duct, and it would not have surprised me if the hammer/screwdriver pounding had rendered the hood inoperative. Installation of halogen floodlights with the GU10 base was difficult (the twist-on type of connection is not user friendly). The installation guide showed an incorrect location for the hole required for the electrical supply cable, and it had a strange remark about 10" duct.
The hood looks nice, but the back-lighted LCD display is so poor that one wonders why there is a display at all. If you want to run the blower at highest speed, you have to punch the "up" button four times. Then, to turn the hood off, you have to punch the "down" button four times (my old three-speed Broan hood had an on/off button for each speed). The floodlights are either on or off. 50W halogen floodlights illuminate the cooktop very well.
The blowers are not too noisy (air-wise) and do a good job of ventilating the cooktop. However, the motors emit a noticeable 120 Hertz hum. Fans commonly use permanent-split capacitor A.C. induction motors, which can be designed to have virtually no hum. I don't know what kind of motors this hood uses, but Electrolux says that the hum of these motors is normal. Some people will probably not care about the hum.....it is not very loud.
The build quality of the range hood is excellent. The dual motor/blowers is the prime feature of this range hood.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Reality Check Good product with some caveats
This hood fit my space needs nicely. The caveats are as follows: the LCD display is backlit only when the fan or light is on ... it goes dark at all other times. The LCD contrast is such that my wife and I must bend down to actually read/see whatever it is displaying. When standing normally, our eyes are just slightly above the level of the display -- which is bad, since the display LCD contrast is set so that it's really only legible when looking up at an angle from below.
The other caveat is that the timer is only a timer which beeps when the time is up. I expected/hoped it was a fan timer to provide a delayed shut-off function where the fan would be shut off when the timer runs down to zero. Also, when disabling the button beep feature, the timer will no longer beep when the time runs out. Dumb decision. The timer should still beep if you turn off the button beep feature (which accompanies each button-push with a beep).
The fan is reasonably quiet on low and ladders up in volume with each faster speed.
The unit does not come with light bulbs, but I found and installed excellent LED bulbs with a GU10 base at a large nation-wide hardware store chain -- which at only 6 watts each are very bright and save lots of energy vs. the 35 to 50 watt MR16 halogen bulbs they replace.
Note the light is either on or off and so is not dimmable to a "night" or "low" setting like some other range hoods.
