had this for 6 years they dont make parts the bigest burner has always gave me truble now i cant get parts for this cooktop i should have payed a littel more and got the viking pro cooktop

My experience with AJ buying my stainless steel Stove top for Propane Gas went exceptionally well. Had several chances to communicate with customer service and I never had to wait ON HOLD to speak to someone. They were right there, with answers and very helpful.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Duckman Knobs break and cannot be replaced
The cooker works fine until the knobs break, then you find that they are very problematic to replace. The initial set of replacements are now all broken as well, so I went to Home Depot hardware and using a combination of generic parts and super glue managed to improvise 3 replacement knobs. I hope they do better than the Dacor originals. The design of the originals is at fault with a fragile plastic sleeve snapping under any rotational pressure. Very bad problem for a knob. For a rather expensive stove top this is just not good enough. In addition the brushed metal top chemically bonds to any spills; so now ours is covered with scratches from where is scrapper is applied. It stopped looking pretty very quickly and now just looks broken down. Not fancy. Avoid.

I had an older Dacor - 4 burner that I was reluctant to get rid of, but a new kitchen upgrade forced us too. I love my new 5 burner Dacor. The front two burners have a simmer level, allowing you to have a very low temp on the burner. If you want to heat something fast, then there is no waiting because it really can boil something fast. I like that each knob has a blue indicator light letting you know the burner is on. Heavy duty grid on top makes sliding pans from one burner to another easy, or using a large griddle over two burners. I do not like the stainless metal on the inside of the burners, kind of a duller finish. I find it harder to clean. I was used to a very shiny surface in my older cook top. I've taken to using stainless cleaner on the spills which works fine and cleans up nicely. I love the new cooktop the most out of all our new kitchen upgrades. High quality, great control for cooking. It looks fabulous too!
