Rated 1 out of 5 by Awful Our previous range hood fan was over 20 years old, had a large, washable filter, really cleared cooking odors from the air....well, you get the idea. We were updating our kitchen and decided to replace the old one with something more modern/updated. WHAT A MISTAKE! As other reviewers have said, this fan is loud, has a small and EXPENSIVE charcoal filter that definitely doesn't do much to clear away cooking odors, and needs replaced every few months (if you enjoy cooking). 9/17/11
Rated 3 out of 5 by replacment hood We replaced our old whirlpool model we wanted the whirlpool but they were out of stock so chose this one rather than wait. It's a bit noisy sounds like a airplane drone probably because the fan is plastic. So a little disapointed I would not like to hear the noisy one if this is the quiet hood! 6/8/09
Rated 1 out of 5 by Noisy kitchen fan QT230SS First off these fans are labeled as Stainless steel, I tested mine with a magnet and if failed. It's not stainless steel. Stainless wont hold up a magnet. Second, This fan made my cabinets vibrating. THIS FAN WILL RUST SHORTLY AFTER BUYING AND IT'S NOISY! Don't waste your money. 10/17/08
