Might be an excellent unit if installed using the ducted system. I required a ductless installation and after several days, noticed excessive cooking odors that we had not experienced before with our 26 year old cheapy unit. The reason is that the draft follows the path of least resistance which due to the poor design is the openings for the lights. Remove the filters and it will draft correctly. Broan had no suggestions as to what to do with this so now I must figure out how to seal the gap around the light bulbs or it's totally useless. Would have been better off replacing it with a new cheapy like I originally had. Was not real happy with Broan's delayed response and their lack of concern as they suggested I was might be using the wrong charcoal filters. Guess I could duct the unit but that's going to cost an additional $600.

The range hood we just purchased looks good, sounds good and is a great improvement over the old one (brown). We had a larger space to fill and this one fit perfectly. I had been to the box stores and no one carried this size.
