The latest GE Profile top-load washers are designed to offer exceptional savings through efficiency, performance and convenience. Instead of an agitator, these new models use an innovative HydroWave with Infusor wash system that requires less water, compared to conventional agitator models, and provides a gentle clean.
This washer uses 160 kWh/yr and has an estimated yearly operating cost of $17.74.

This is by far the worst cleaning washing machine I have had in the last 30 years. Any lint or dirt that is removed from your cloths gets forced threw your clothing on the rinse and spin cycles. There is nothing to catch any lint so it just gets redeposited onto your cloths and if you have any black clothes you will see the lint deposited in the creases and seems. They went so far with the "green" aspect of this machine that even if you fill the machine with clothes the water level never gets high enough to fill the drum.. its a washing machine that seems to have been designed to not use water or agitation to clean your cloths...

No matter what the manufacturer says, this product does not clean clothes - PERIOD. I have to add one, sometimes two buckets of water to reach a water level where it will clean clothes. A friend of mine has the same machine and the same problem. No surprise that it is no longer manufactured.

Great performance and features and water energy efficient. Gives me the choices needed for all types of clothes washing. Minimal detergent usage makes it easy on garments.
Quiet and efficient. Matches my GE gas dryer and adds a clean look to my laundry room. Comes with the GE service and support you want with any appliance. Great value.

This washer is average . I have been some what disappointed with the overall performance as it does not get clothes as clean as my old top load GE I had for 23 years. Part of the problem is my fault in that it loads differently than a regular top load, and uses a different kind of detergent ( HE ). You have to put the detergent in before the load of clothes, and then load the clothes around the center part trying not to cover it with the clothes. In other words load the clothes around the tub walls. It does use less water.
