I like this refrigerator and its features a lot, but it has any annoyingly loud wining rattle when the compressor is running. This happened right from when we turned it on and may have gotten worse over time. When I'm watching TV in the living room I can hear it in the background and it just erks me too no end every single night. I’d love to get a new fridge, but I can justify doing so when I have a fridge that is just a couple months old.
A GE service rep came out to look at it based on my complaint and said that is normal for these compressors, and then he left without even taking the back panel off the fridge to investigate further. When I pulled the fridge out for him to inspect it (well listen to it, since he didn’t do anything else), the one front wheel on the fridge dug into our new vinyl floor in the home that we just built and ripped a chuck out of it (talk about making you sick), to which the service rep said "Your wife is going to kill you" and just walked out the door. So now I have a ripped floor in my kitchen, a loud annoy fridge that I cringe at every time I hear it, and had to take off work and use vacation time for all this to occur.
I can't believe that is the case for all GE refrigerators , but if it is, then I would not recommend this product or any other GE product with this compressor in it to anyone.
By the way, I have to say that the AJ Madison folks have been excellent to deal with. I got free delivery and I live 3 hours away from them and they worked with me on the exact delivery date it would arrive. They got the GE service rep out as soon as I told them I had an issue (they even scheduled it). I would absolutely by from them again. GE just dropped the ball on this one.

Remodeled kitchen with all new appliances from AJ. I had never purchased big items thru internet, it was a very positive experience. Saved hundreds and received all items in a timely manner. Would not hesitate to deal with these folks again. Thanks again for your great service.

Great features and nice look in our kitchen. No issues so far other than could use pivoting rollers vs. only being able to roll forward or back. Turbo Cool option works great for cooling down after restocking. As other reviews said items kept against back wall will freeze but most refrigerators have this issue.
