I am amazed that the features and utility offered by this product are relatively unknown. This thing is so much more than just a microwave oven. You can actually "broil' a steak, control the external versus internal cooking temp, truly roast something, all in addition to the ordinary microwave stuff.

I just got a call from the extended warranty people that my extended warranty ends on Saturday. I'm sorry that I haven't written a review before. Clearly we have had this for 3 years now and we did have to make 1 service call. I was so nervous to spend so much on this 'microwave' and a few reviews had mentioned it failing around the 2 year mark, so I got the warranty. Our warranty call was due to the convection fan making a horrendous noise and the issue was the fan had come loose and was vibrating. They tightened the screws and issue was resolved in about 15 minutes. The repair guy was very nice.
As to the actual Advantium, we have the 220 and have it mounted below the counter - but don't tell. It is awesome. I use it everyday for almost everything. MY only complaint is that when I'm using it as an oven - I occasionally need a microwave too and have to wait. It is awesome in our Texas heat b/c I don't have to heat our huge range. I use the speed cook technology on occasion and I would say that it generally speeds up my 'baking' by about 33% - esp great for brownies, frozen apps like cheese sticks for the kids or nuggest - makes them so crispy, and it makes a GREAT and super-fast baked potato (with crispy skin!). I would spend the money again if it broke. Today I'm deciding if I should extend the warranty or just take my chances!

"wall oven" does not do this appliance justice. The Advantium is in a class all by itself. Microwave, convection, speedcook. Get the 220; it cooks so fast and so well on speedcook that we love playing with our new toy. The Jetsons would have been amazed at what this puppy can do.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Lisa my GE monogram(s) keep breakin'
In 2009 I bought the monogram fridge, advantium, oven, 6 burner gas range, and dishwasher. So far I have had the $1200 dishwasher completely melt on the inside and a $500 repair bill on the microwave. I do love the looks of the monogram? Of course! But GE has some major quality issues. I would NOT reccomend these products because they are too pricy to be having these types of major repairs when the appliances are only 2 years old.
