Rated 4 out of 5Â by Satisfied Great Range However...
Ok, this is a great range. I have been using it for around 3 months and am very happy with the performance. With all 4 burners at 18000 BTU being able to preheat heavy cast iron pans or dutch ovens as well as boiling large amounts of water and using your pressure cooker all at the same time is good. The oven is great also, and the grill very good.
The extra-low simmer is a good feature, well worth it and I prefer the star burner design, it seems to keep more flame under small diameter pans.
There are a few of things preventing this from getting 5 stars all round:
1 - No digital display/clock or timer. Ok, who really cares about a digital display for the oven temp. But a digital or dial timer for the oven, eggs, or whatever should absolutely be there on a $5k range.
2 - if you are using the front two burners and open or close the oven door quickly the burners go out. Not an issue as they relight immediately automatically, but nonetheless, they do. This is not a safety issue though.
3 - Rather small oven door window, can't see your souffle rising without touching your toes.
