The surface requires constant and vigorous attention to keep clean and shiny. Heat produced is inconsistent - one time heats steadily and evenly and other times, even at the same setting, produces either too much or too little heat. Maybe it requires getting used to but we have had for a month now and it requires close monitoring.

We bought this to replace the PP945, which wouldn't fit our kitchen design (see my review on the GE Profile PP945) . I really wanted one w/o knobs but, that aside, this cooktop works beautifully and looks fabulous. It virtually disappears on my dark counter. So far, I have had no problem keeping it clean. I recommend this cooktop and, if you don't mind the knobs, you can save quite a lot of money and still have a great-looking cooktop.

Performs perfectly while looking great. The "hot" warning light is a great safety feature. Burners warm quickly and maintain the correct temperature. I would recommend this product.
