We purchased this "state of the art" cooktop only to find it had major problems. Right out of the box it didn't work right, burners wouldn't work they go on and off, couldn't even boil water. Contacted GE for service, they failed to show up, 2 times. Then they had to order parts, parts came, then more parts were needed, still couldn't resolve problems. Contacted GE HQ they didn't respond, eventually got someone to respond after several months and many emails and phone calls they refunded our money. GE appliances are not longer used are allowed in our home.

This cooktop has been exceptional. Easy to install, VERY fast to heat up, boil water, etc. Easy to clean, especially with the CeramaBryte stuff that came with it. Nice and big. Makes a bit of a buzz when it's working, but at such a low level that it's not annoying. We went with this because it's much more efficient than regular electric and wanted to avoid the non-sustainable option of natural gas. Love cooking on this thing. Just love it.

I love this cooktop. The functionality is awesome and it looks fabulous on my new kitchen island. It is noisy when you cook at the high heat levels, but I was prepared for that based on other reviews. The sensitivity to the change in heat settings is almost as good as gas...it's so nice to be able to put something on simmer and actually have it simmer instead of bubbling like many electric ranges do when you try to turn the heat down. Love, love, love this!

Cooktop had problems as soon as it was installed, large burner not working goes on then turns off. Called GE service made appointment, they never showed up. When they did arrive 3 days later, parts were ordered, following week they arrived and installed replacement parts, burner still wasn't working, they ordered more parts, still couldn't fix. Cooktop looked good, just didn't work good, have replaced with a Wolf.
