Wow! We are so pleased we went with this GE downdraft gas cooktop from AJ Madison.
First, price and delivery from AJM was fantastic. I know we saved a lot of $$$ purchasing it online. We knew we wanted a 30" black gas downdraft cooktop and were becoming quite concerned about just finding one. There are just not that many available. Luckily AJM had this one, plus one other from a different manufacturer. This one was priced a bit more, but still a lot less when what buying it from a local vendor would have been, so we took a chance. Boy, are we glad we did.
It was recieved within a week of ordering and the shippers were great. They called a few days before and delivered it right when they said they would. Brought it all the way inside my house, let me unpack and visually inspect the cooktop, and only when I was satisfied that it was in good shape did I sign for it.
My installer had it in place and working in short time. He had to get creative when routing the downdraft duct work, but it all came out great. The unit looks great and works absolutely fantastic.

We purchased this gastop for our new granite counter tops and all I can say is "wow"! The picture doesn't do it justice ... It looks beautiful and the price was unreal compared to the others! Worth every penny ... and what a fast delivery!

We recently switched from electric to gas cooking, and I love this cook top! It is very nice looking and performs beautifully. Clean up is easy, too. Plus, I was very pleased with the service and assistance I received from AJ Madison ... I would not hesitate to purchase from them again ~

Following Hurricane Sandy we finally decided to convert our existing downdraft electric cooktop to gas. This cooktop looks great, however, the downdraft system over powers the burners. First thing we noticed was how much larger the fan motor and ducting was as compared to our prior unit. Even at the lowest setting the downdraft pulls the flames which makes for uneven cooking or slow boiling. The strange thing is that even the user manual states that the downdraft should be used at a low setting so that the flames are not pulled toward the vent. Perhaps an even slower setting would have helped.
