These are the high-performance cooktops for those who take their cooking seriously. They feature optimized burner configurations for maximized pan spacing and excellent cooking versatility. The TRIPLEFLAME 15,500 BTU center burner on the PGL985UC allows you to switch from an ultra-high setting for searing meats to an ultra-low setting for simmering delicate sauces. The SMARTFLAME safety feature automatically shuts off the gas to the burner should the flame extinguish for any reason.

SMARTFLAME Flame Safety
For maximum user safety, a thermocouple is used to sense the presence of a flame after a burner is turned on. If the flame should blow out, the sensor will immediately register the change in temperature and turn off the gas flow. Now, you can use your gas cooktop without fear of excess gas escaping into the room.

TRIPLEFLAME Burner
In its lowest setting, only the small center flame is activated heating small pots or pans for simmering. If the output is increased, the two outer rings put out a powerful 15,500 BTU for consistent heat distribution across the bottom of large pots and pans.
