I purchased the GE profile french door model PFSF6PKXAWW in 2008, in the first 10 months the ice maker failed. The GE man told me that they had a rash of failures, probably redesigned as the repalacment has been working for the last 3 years. It was covered in the GE 12 month warranty.
Recently we noticed water on our wood floor and discovered it was coming from the defrost system inside the refrigerator....the drain line had a small piece of aluminium foil that clogged the drain line and it caused the system to freeze up and the water from the defrost cycle to overflow into the refrigerator compartment and eventually out the door and unto the floor....I had the extra 5 year warranty and it was fixed...but there is a design flaw in this product as the repairman told me I was the eleventh customer to have this problem....
The ice maker is very noisy...
The 2008 refrigerator was made in Korea by Samsung, don't know if GE still buys them or makes them now....but it doesn't help our economy.

This item is just what I wanted. I was concerned about the bad reviews on shipping I ordered my kitchen on Monday it was delivered Thursday in Alabama they called the day before and showed up on time with no damage I was so impressed I gave the boys a $50 tip.

Other than the Ice Maker, we love the Frig. It makes just enough ice per day for BARELY 1 person, and extremely noisy when it drops the 8 ice cubes in the container through the night. I have had ice-makers in refrigerators for over 45 years & this is the NOISIEST and SLOWEST icemaker yet. We have a large home, with a large distance from the bedroom to the kitchen, and the ice drop noise constantly awakes us both! However, if you don't need "quiet, quantitive ice", you will be happy with this frig.

I like all the features on this fridge except for the ice and water dispenser. The door requires to be close to dispense the water or ice. But overall, its easy to use. Compare to local stores around my area nobody can beat AJ Madison's price. I will buy from them again.
