This is my second GE countertop that is housed in a kitchen island. Hopefully this unit will last longer than the first which had a transformer burn after 3 years of limited use in a home occupied 6 months a year.
This model has a nice large capacity and several automatic settings that seem to work 'on target'. I was looking for something to fill the space I had in the island, available in biscuit color, with basic settings and low cost. I use it primarily for reheating, cooking fresh veggies and bacon and secondly, defrosting. After one month, performance has been excellent. Considering the low cost for this unit, it is an excellent value.
We did have one issue where it overheated during a power disruption, emitting a burning smell. I called GE customer service and a technician was here the following day...could not find a problem and was willing to replace unit if we wanted to do that....excellent service. Opted to keep unit and have had no issues since. This is why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5. AJ Madison fulfilled order quickly and I would use site again.

I purchased the Microwave with the matching trim to install in the opening above the oven. It fits perfectly in the opening and matches with my existing GE Monogram Oven. The instructions were very clear. I would recommend to use the templates given with the manual.
