GE Consumer and Industrial spans the globe as an industry leader in major appliance, lighting and integrated industrial equipment systems and services. They provide solutions for commercial, industrial and residential use in more than 100 countries which uses innovative technologies and "ecomagination." It's a GE initiative to aggressively bring to market new technologies that help customers and consumers meet pressing environmental challenges to deliver comfort, convenience and electrical protection and control. GE brings imagination to work.
Anyone who has ever tried to juggle multiple cooking times and temperatures to prepare a special family meal or trays of delicate hors d'oeuvres for a party will appreciate the hottest new innovation from GE. The new GE Profile Double Oven Free-standing Range offers the largest free-standing total oven capacity in the industry to cook two different dishes-at two different temperatures-at the same time.
Available in two 30" configurations--both with a spacious 6.6 total cu. ft. of cooking space - the double oven range is the preferred choice for those who enjoy freshly baked rolls with their meals or a delicate cheese souffle as a side for a crisp fish fillet.
The PB975 model features a lower oven with the accuracy of GE's exclusive reversing-fan technology in the PreciseAir convection system: it provides optimal heat circulation and temperature accuracy throughout for deliciously browned, evenly baked foods. Both ranges feature the 2.2 cu. ft.-capacity upper oven that is ideal for baking pizzas, fresh or frozen, thanks to the GE exclusive pizza mode. There's even a slow-cook mode with four settings for gently roasting tender beef or rich stews: no separate slow-cooker required!
Home chefs will appreciate that there is more room than before for cookie sheets, bakeware and roasting pans, with the redesign of the PB975's true European convection system. Now only 1-1/2" deep, it is a full one-inch thinner than the previous design. Unlike other double ovens, the Profile range includes interchangeable, self-cleaning racks that can be used in either the upper or lower oven. In fact, with so much space, the upper oven can easily cook a 4-quart casserole dish-something the competitions' upper oven can't accommodate.
Fitting in the same space as a traditional range, this is an appliance that delivers the ultimate cooking flexibility while eliminating the need for expensive remodeling to add a second oven. Designed with the sleek new Profile aesthetics, the oven features a full stainless steel door, glass handle and trim, plus heavy-duty knob controls to complement or coordinate with any décor. The oven is available in a choice of stainless steel, white or black. For peace of mind, a control-lock capability locks the cooktop and oven to prevent unintended activation.

We studied a considerable amount of double oven/ranges before making our purchase. Once we decided on the brand and features, we settled on this one. It is simply great. One of the best applicance purchases that we have made.
This one has it all, or almost all. Timers, double ovens, convenction, radiant cooktop, design and functionality. The temp controls on both the cooktop and the ovens is great. The first batch of gingerbread cookies my wife made in the upper oven were very evenly cooked and wonderful in texture/appearance and consistency. We set it for the temp, and the timer for the recommened cooktime and they came out perfect.
Just starting to use the convection oven. We are happy with the results, but we both are learning how to properly use convection cooking vs standard baking/roasting. Good results, but still learning.
Little things sold us on this one. The rack in the upper oven has two handles (one on each side) that are tilted 'up' that makes it easy to grasp and slide out. Many others that we saw didn't have this.
Quality is great. We got the one with the 'triple burner' (which we use all the time) and also the 'griddle/bridge' element. After many, many years of our electric skillet that was our pancake pan - it is now gone. The new griddle that we bought and the bridge element cooking is simply great.
We haven't used the temp monitor for a roast yet, but will next week (Thanksgiving). The double ovens on this really will allow you to make a more complicated meal easily.
We've used the upper oven to 'finish meat' started on the range. Since it's smaller, it's perfect for our new 'griddle pan' to sear chops and such, then finish them in the upper oven.

I haven't used anything but the stove top, which of course is hard to keep clean, and the top oven. I understand that it converts regular oven to convection but haven't used it yet. Must read manual.

Everything cooks evenly compaired to the stove that this one replaced. The old oven had cooking elements and items cooked on them had to be watched very carefully as to not scortch them or burn them. This flat top is the best - everything cooks very evenly. The oven portion of this appliance as well cooks evenly as well. We are very pleased with the 2 ovens - we can cook in 1/2 the time compaired to before.
