We are certain that we received a "second" as there appeared to be some damage to the cooktop when my husband opened the box. Because of time restrictions and having to have it installed before we could get our counter tops cut, my husband (a contractor) "repaired" it and installed it. We had problems with the burners lighting and had to make several phone calls as well as have repairmen come out on three different occasions before it was 'fixed". I was without all my burners over Thanksgiving! We still have a burner that won't stay lit however we are just disgusted at this point and tired of trying to deal with it. We built this home and ordered all new appliances and this is the only one we were dissatisfied with. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone.

I have no clue what to do with the floating plate I assume belongs on underside of cooktop. I see no way to unfasten bolts to accomadate the panel. I emailed bertazzoni twice and have received no reply. I would like to install this part but it's not clear how!

We purchased one of these Bertazzoni Cooktops and loved it so much, we placed one of the slide in C36600X units in our party room. The P36500x is such a conversation piece that my wife hates to use it for fear that she would have someone see her mess on it.
