Fisher & Paykel Appliances designs, manufactures and markets a range of innovative household appliances developed with a commitment to technology, design, user friendliness and environmental awareness. On June 15th, 2006 Fisher & Paykel Appliances Holdings Limited announced that it has agreed to acquire the European cookware business Elba S.p.A from De'Longhi S.p.A for a purchase price of EUR78 million. The acquisition provides a more comprehensive range of kitchen products for distribution through the United States. The existing models have been completely restyled cosmetically to fit with the Fisher & Paykel brand and complement the current DCS range of products giving the customer a choice of styles.
This freestanding range combines the convenience of a gas oven with the control and precision of an integrated four burner gas cooktop. A fresh, clean look reflects the latest design philosophies from Europe, featuring refined control knobs and easy to follow icons on a simple designer control panel.
This model includes a range of gas burner sizes and powers for greater convenience and flexibility. Large, small and medium burners will suit any cooking style, from a fast stir-fry to a slow simmer.

kitchen renovator Beautiful stove
This Fisher Paykel stove cooks beautifully and looks beautiful. I wanted the 24-inch model to fit into a New York City kitchen remodel that would give me maximum room for drawers and cabinets.
I also like the professional looking iron grate that covers the whole cooktop, in two pieces, to support pots on the burners.

we love the range - its the best looking among the small ones and works great...
but it took A YEAR to get the Oven portion working - the local repair rep was nice and keep at it - but it took 4 or 5 service calls before Fisher Paykel got the right part...
it's in a weekend place so it was especially hard to schedule service calls - and especially difficult to find out that - once again - "that part did not do the trick - gotta try something else..."
but all is well that ends well - I guess

We were looking for a 24" gas range to fit our small kitchen in a vacation rental. The range looks great! The burners all work well and give a nice range of heat.
To light the oven, you need to open the door, turn the knob to the highest heat level, and hold the knob in for ~10 seconds after the burner is lighted. Many of our vacation renters seem to have a problem with this, even though we have instructions. I suspect they don't read them, though.
This is a nice range. I'd easily buy it if I was looking for a range for myself, but would probably not buy it again for the rental unit.
