  • 1/3 Horse Power PSC Motor
  • Permanent split capacitor motor that runs at a higher power factor thus giving better performance. It also delivers lower heat build-up, lower operating costs and a smoother, quieter operation.
  • Smooth Balance Suspension System
  • Reduces vibration and noise in washers to help keep loads balanced while spinning at top speed. In dryers, drum rollers work with drum glides to reduce vibration.
  • 800 RPM Spin Speed
  • Spin speed of up to 800 RPM at the end of the wash cycle removes more moisture from the load, resulting in faster drying.
  • IntelliClean Impeller
  • Wash plate with fins at the bottom of the wash basket. The wash plate continuously moves clothes through the water to clean more gently than a traditional agitator, and takes up less space to maximize capacity.
  • Deep Clean Option
  • Uses a additional cleaning action and a deep rinse to ensure load is clean the first time.
  • IntellifFill Automatic Water Level Sensor
  • Regulates the amount of water being used, making automatic adjustments based on the size of the load and type of fabric. By using less water, you'll save money and natural resources while still delivering improved cleaning performance.

Product Reviews
Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 874 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Wish i hadn't bought this washer I have only done a few loads of laundry with this washer. My initial reaction is what was i thinking! The washer vibrates horribly, is on the loud side, and takes FOREVER to wash a normal load of laundry. i hate the lock function! I had second thoughts about buying due to water sensing function and oh, how i wish i had i had listened to my misgivings. On the bright side, appliances don't last very long anymore so i can only hope i can find a plain old washer when this one gives out. 11/18/12
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not good with sheets or comforters. This machine is really cool in how it work. I love that it uses less water and still gets my clothes clean. The clothes are pushed up in the center of the washer and pulled down into the water on the sides. This design is ill suited for washing sheets or comforters. I've noticed after a load is finish that a sheet sometimes gets stretched over the top of everything and just stays there the whole wash cycle (I've also checked on it during a cycle to see what was happening since I have the clear glass lid). It never gets rotated around into the water thus never gets clean. Also when I put a small comforter in the washer, it won't move around at all. I can't put anything else in with it, so nothing pushed up through the middle or pulled down on the sides. It just barely moves at all and doesn't get clean. The part above the water level stays above the water level, and everything below the water level stays below the water level. I've tried using different cycles and loading things differently to fix the problem. Nothing works! 10/10/12
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall it is a very nice washer especially for the price. Overall it is a very nice washer. It is much smaller than my original washer so I have much more space available. The washer cleans my clothes well. I was already warned about the noise level so that is not a surprise. The noises are not continual so it is acceptable. My frustration is that my clothes come out extremely wrinkled and my dryer can't take care of all of the wrinkles so I end up with more work to do ironing. Also I would like better control of my own water temperature during the wash cycle instead of depending on the washer's setup. 11/21/12
Rated 1 out of 5 by after 1 year and 4 months washer is unusable Had this washer for 1 year and 4 months. Stopped spinning. Had repairman come out. Bearing had frozen up - in order to replace that, the tub seal also has to be replaced. 1 year and 4 months is a ridiculously short amount of time for a washer to last. Would not recommend this washer to anyone. It has always been very noisy and the clothes do not always come out clean. Many times had to rewash a load. Would never buy Maytag again. Costs almost as much to repair as to replace. Previous history with Maytag was excellent - they used to make very good reliable long-lasting washers and dryers. 11/28/12
